This workshop will help you to develop understanding of the properties of acrylic mediums and paints in specific relation to their use with textiles, with an option to explore raw earth pigments with acrylic medium.
Claire has structured the workshop to enable you to experience a wide variety of applications and approaches, and begin to understand the media, with a focus on sampling. You'll start by creating a colour chart for reference, then explore the media under her guidance with combinations of techniques such as painting, washes, monoprinting, lamination, stitch and drawing to create texture and life in your fabric.
Throughout the five days you will build a wonderful resource for future work.
