Welcome to InStitches: at Home
We love having students in the studio, but we know not everyone can join us, so we've designed the InStitches: at Home workshops to bring the studio experience direct to you at home. We'll take you step by step through each lesson, showing you what materials you'll need, demonstrating techniques and processes and showing you how to bring them all together, just as if you were here in the studio with us!
With a choice of either Online or Online Live workshops there'll be something to suit everyone; read on to find out more...

Online Live workshops are taking a break for 2023
What our students say about Online Live workshops...
May 2022
I had such a fantastic few days on the course with Cas. I thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to play with fabrics and papers and techniques and felt enriched and inspired by the end of the course.
Doing the course online did lose a certain intimacy and literal tactile quality along with some of the physical interactions that would have happened between the participants in person, but somehow the essence remained and it did still feel intimate. I felt connected and 'in the room' with the other participants and the space felt calm, safe and buzzing.

I just wanted to send my belated appreciation of the recent Cas Holmes course. I too have had reservations about online learning and teaching but like you, have been converted to its advantages, not the least of which is is giving the opportunity to those who normally wouldn't be able to participate to do so.
It's good to see that you will be continuing to offer online workshop online live workshops in winter and hope this will extend this to cover other points of the year. I'm sure I'm not the only student, or teacher for that matter, who would welcome the opportunity.

A big thank you to InStitches and Debbie Lyddon for a really fabulous online day last week. Debbie was such a great tutor and I felt privileged to be able to do her course in my own home! Thank you so much for organising it.

I attended the online course with Debbie yesterday and I just wanted to write to say how much I enjoyed it.
I was also a bit worried about how it would work over Zoom but it actually felt like we were all together in a normal workshop.
The pre course pack was great and the generosity of Debbie showing us and explaining what she does was well worth the money.
There are a lot of negatives around covid but I would never have had the chance to come for a face to face workshop with Debbie as Norfolk is just too far for a days workshop so to have the opportunity to be there yesterday was brilliant.
Thank you, everything was really well organised, communicated and delivered.

I just wanted to say thank you and how brilliant it was. I didn't think it would be possible to get an online class to feel like a workshop, but it really did.
The captions worked really well too. Debbie's video and PowerPoint presentations really set the scene, and provided much inspiration. Her demonstrations using a closer camera worked well, and the personal contact as she visited each person. The number of students was right too, so I felt I got to know them a little as you would in an actual workshop.
I am so pleased with the pieces created and the inspiration gained to make more. Debbie is such a generous, supportive inspirational tutor.

I loved all aspects of the [Online Live] course.
I was keen to attend a workshop led by Debbie Lyddon but I wasn't sure a full day of zoom was for me.
Well my apprehension was misplaced.
The day flowed well, as did the conversation. The course content and tutelage was superb. I certainly felt engaged and learnt a lot.

Thanks to you both for a stellar job behind the scenes... I envy your savvy Zoom efforts and I think it went very smoothly except for the lack of (long distance) cake...but I do have the recipe! So much fun to be a student and Debbie was very natural, patient and inspiring in many levels. She is an incredible artist!
