These workshops are extra-special! InStitches have teamed up with some of the country's leading artists (textile and otherwise) to bring you our Textile Adventures series of workshops. So far our varied programme of workshops has included 3D stitched panels, fabric painting and printing, lanterns, calligraphy, paper lamination, eco-printing, rust, fabric collage, perfect pinnies and bags to die for!
Most of the materials will be provided, as well as home made biscuits with morning coffee, a light seasonal lunch and an enticing cake with a pot of afternoon tea - so you can travel light! All this and a day being creative in the company of friends, what's not to like?
The workshops take place in our new studio, a spacious modern building set on the borders of Eversley and Wokingham and there is plenty of parking on site with level access to the building. If you don't live within travelling distance but would still like a treat, why not come and stay locally? Click here for more details.
So far we have had workshops with textile artists Christine Chester, Debbie Lyddon, Gillian Travis, Clive Barnett and Anne Moore, calligraphers Simon Sonsino and Lin Kerr and mixed media artist Arleen Wild and we are planning more. Our own workshops have included miniature quilt making and lanterns, and there are more to follow in the Make & Create! series. Follow the links to find out more:
