Sue Brown - Mixed media fabric sketchbook
Sue Brown is a Cheltenham based printmaker who tells stories about our relationship with nature in our urban environment using printmaking and mixed media.
In this workshop you will spend 3 days using paper lithography, acrylic resist, mono print, stitching and stencilling to name just a few of the techniques covered, to create several excitingly textural textile books.
Using a humble black-and-white photocopy as your ‘plate’, you will make prints of photographic imagery as part of the development of mixed media pages.
|
At the end of the workshop you will have created at least 2 fabric books, if not more, exploring layering techniques using traditional and non traditional textile materials.
Most materials will be provided, but you will need to bring black and white toner photocopies, snippets of favourite fabrics from your stash and your personal sewing kit and preferred embroidery threads. |
