Sam Jones - Using nature's colours
Sam is a mixed media artist living and working in Hampshire.
Having had the opportunity to study under the guidance of Jenny Dean, Sam is currently exploring eco printing, natural dyes, indigo and earth pigments in order to make her own work more sustainable. In 2023 Sam set up a local dye garden, where she is growing and then processing a range of natural dyes including indigo. |
From September 2025 Sam will be teaching a one-day-a-month in the studio exploring colouring fabric and threads using natural dyes.
At the moment Sam is busy putting the programme together, but as soon as we have all the details we'll let you know, because I'm sure you'll be as excited about this course as we are!
