Due to Coronavirus this workshop is CANCELLED. We will try to reschedule later this year or next year.
We are very sorry that we have had to do this, but it seems the only option at the moment.

We both love to make books and when Janina showed us this album we were intrigued by the covering - and we are sure you will be too.
The first part of the workshop will be spent making the 'leather' using a few sheets of ordinary brown paper and adding texture and colour before waxing and burnishing. Once dry you'll then use these 'vegetarian leather' sheets to cover the front and back boards of the album.
You will then construct the album using metal hinges for the two-part cover and a Japanese stab stitch binding and you will also be able to add your choice of beads or dangles for a finishing effect.
The inside pages will be 140gsm cartridge paper , so you can use your handmade book as a journal, album or paint and draw in it; what will you use yours for?
