Introduction to eco printing - Caroline Bell
Caroline’s work focuses on sustainability; she is inspired by the natural world, and where possible uses natural dyes, mordants and mark-making materials. She studied Stitched Textiles at Eastleigh College and is a licentiate member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
Eco Printing is an endlessly fascinating process whereby heat and moisture is applied to fabric or paper combined with plant material to produce marks and prints.
This workshop is designed to provide you with the basic knowledge of the processes and techniques of eco-printing to allow you then to proceed with confidence to continue to experiment and develop at home.
You will leave the workshop with a series of samples which will cover different methods of tying bundles, using a whole variety of leaves and a range of ways of preparing the fabric and paper.
This workshop is suitable for the complete novice and for anyone who may have been experimenting at home but would like to know more.

Scrumptious biscuits with your morning coffee, a light seasonal lunch and a 'naughty, but nice' cake with a pot of afternoon tea. All this and a day being creative in the company of like minded people, what's not to like?
