InStitches Student Bursary
We're always delighted to be able to welcome students to our studio, either onto one of our well-regarded in-house courses or for one of our inspiring guest tutor workshops. The InStitches studio is purpose built and well equipped, providing a relaxed studio atmosphere and giving you the chance to really immerse yourself in creativity.
But we appreciate that attending an 'in real life' workshop can be beyond reach for some, so, thanks to the generosity and vision of one of our guest tutors, InStitches is delighted to be in the position to offer a bursary fund twice a year.
What is a Bursary?
Quite simply, a fund of money to subsidise students who need a financial leg-up to access our range of fabulous workshops and develop themselves in their practice.
It’s important to stress we believe that if anything is to be valued, it must have a price so you’ll see that it will be rare for us to provide 100% funding. Plus, we want to be able to stretch the fund in a way that helps as many people as possible, rather than just one or two.
You can apply for a bursary fund to cover up to 75% (up to a maximum of £200) of the cost of any InStitches workshop/class/programme and we will apply the discount to the balance of the course fee (there is no cash alternative). This means it will free up funds for you to use in other ways, be that materials/media, accommodation or travel related to attending the workshop etc.
Applications are now open and will close on 14th February 2025. There will be a second opportunity opening in July 2025. If you have been unsuccessful on an earlier round it is fine to apply again.
